Ben Meyer joins The AET, bringing extensive experience in agricultural education and a commitment to supporting ag teachers through the three-circle model. Ben spent twelve years with the National FFA Organization as a state relations specialist, working closely with 20 Midwest and western states, state staff, agricultural educators, and various stakeholders.
Before his work with the National FFA Organization, Ben served as the state program manager for agriculture and natural resources education and the State FFA Advisor in Idaho. He earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in agricultural education from Montana State University-Bozeman and holds K-12 school administration credentials from the University of Idaho.
Ben’s early career included roles with the Montana Farm Bureau Federation and work as an education program assistant for USDA CSREES National 4-H Council in Washington, D.C. In 2002, Ben committed to the ag teaching profession, by choice, not by chance starting in Maddock, ND, and later teaching ag at high schools in Conrad and Ronan, MT.
Ben lives in Stevensville, MT with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters.
